Your Tour Experience
Kruger In-depth is a 4-day hosted safari based at a single bush lodge on the outskirts of Kruger National Park, with three nights at Leopards Bend Bush Lodge.
The pace is built around twice-daily game drives — morning and afternoon each day — split between Blue Canyon Private Game Reserve and a full-day safari inside Kruger National Park itself, giving guests both an intimate private-reserve experience and the scale of the national park.
Suits travellers who want a compact, high-frequency safari experience without a long touring itinerary — every full day includes two game drives.
Day 1: Arrival in Hoedspruit
Transfer from Hoedspruit Airport to Leopards Bend Bush Lodge, then an afternoon game drive as the first wildlife encounter of the trip.
Meals: Dinner. Overnight: Leopards Bend Bush Lodge.
Day 2: Morning and afternoon safaris — Blue Canyon Private Game Reserve
An early morning game drive followed by breakfast and relaxation time at the lodge, then a further afternoon game drive in Blue Canyon Private Game Reserve.
Meals: Breakfast, light lunch, dinner. Overnight: Leopards Bend Bush Lodge.
Day 3: Full-day Kruger National Park safari
A full day exploring Kruger National Park itself, departing early with a packed breakfast and a picnic-style lunch at one of the park's rest camps, covering varied habitats for a wide range of wildlife including the Big Five.
Meals: Breakfast, light lunch, dinner. Overnight: Leopards Bend Bush Lodge.
Day 4: Farewell to the bush
A final morning game drive through Blue Canyon Private Game Reserve, then breakfast at the lodge before transferring to Hoedspruit Airport.
Meals: Breakfast. Overnight: own arrangements.

Tour Itinerary
This below itinerary is flexible and can be changed without notice. A detailed, up-to-date dossier itinerary is available to download for this tour.
Please be aware that during the next few days (while we are visiting Kruger National Park), the order of activities could change without prior notice and a degree of flexibility is needed. This is to allow for maximum game viewing opportunities and experiences. It is possible on certain departures that a different vehicle type could be used at either the start or the end of your tour. This means that on either day 1 (from Johannesburg to the Greater Kruger National Park) or day 4 (Kruger National Park to Johannesburg, your journey may be conducted in shuttle (minivan) vehicles to meet up with and/or depart from the Nomad truck in the Greater Kruger National Park. If your selected date involves such a shuttle, we will inform you accordingly.
Collected from Hoedspruit airport and transferred to Blue Canyon Private Game Reserve, framed by the Drakensberg mountains. Settle into Leopard’s Bend Bush Lodge, a blend of canvas and brick with private patios, outdoor showers, and a plunge pool. Evening at leisure with dinner included.
Rise early for morning game drives, then head out again in the afternoon for more sightings, ending with sundowners in the bush. The reserve teems with wildlife including rhino, elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, and endangered species such as wild dogs and ground hornbills. Enjoy lodge comforts and full board dining between activities.
Final breakfast before your transfer out of the reserve for onward travel.
