Premium Journeys strike the perfect balance of comfort and adventure, leaving you free to focus on the joy of discovery.
Guided travel involves hiring a professional guide who serves as a local guide and driver, and takes care of the driving responsibilities. The traveler can focus on enjoying the trip and the destination without the stress of driving. The driver-guide provides local knowledge, expertise, and recommendations, and can offer a more immersive and personalized experience. It can be more expensive than self-drive travel but provides convenience, safety, and local insights.
This unforgettable journey through Uganda and Rwanda blends stunning scenery, rich culture, and world-class wildlife encounters. Beginning in Entebbe, Uganda’s tranquil lakeside gateway, you’ll enjoy a relaxed start before flying to Queen Elizabeth National Park’s remote Ishasha sector, famed for its tree-climbing lions and diverse wildlife. Game drives reveal elephants, buffalo, and an astonishing variety of birdlife across the sweeping Rift Valley plains.
From here, travel south to the mist-covered hills of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site home to nearly half the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Trek deep into the jungle with expert guides for a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with these gentle giants, an experience as emotional as it is exhilarating.
The adventure continues across the border into Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park, where the forested slopes of the Virunga Volcanoes offer another chance to meet gorillas, or perhaps trek to Dian Fossey’s grave or spot playful golden monkeys among the bamboo.
Your safari concludes in Kigali, where a visit to the Genocide Memorial offers a moving reflection on Rwanda’s history and resilience. Blending incredible wildlife, cultural encounters, and unforgettable landscapes, this eight-day journey reveals the very best of East Africa — from the shores of Lake Victoria to the volcanic peaks of the Virunga Mountains — a perfect balance of adventure, reflection, and natural wonder.

The Nomad African Trust is responsible for the administration of the funds collected from the sale of the green seats and these funds are distributed to various projects as identified by the Trust.
