Overview
This extraordinary East Africa safari combines the wild beauty of Tanzania and Kenya into one seamless, adventure-filled journey. Beginning in Arusha, you settle into the tranquil foothills of Mount Meru before heading to Tarangire National Park, home to immense elephant herds and ancient baobab forests. Your adventure continues toward the Ngorongoro Crater, where you descend into one of the world’s most wildlife-rich natural sanctuaries, encountering lions, flamingos, rhinos, and vast grazing plains framed by crater walls. From here, the safari opens up into the legendary Serengeti, where you experience endless horizons, dramatic game viewing, and the magic of mornings surrounded by wildlife right outside your tent. After a final sunrise in the Serengeti, you fly to Arusha and overnight before travelling onward to Kenya.
Your Kenyan chapter begins in Nairobi before travelling north into Samburu, a rugged and dramatic landscape famed for its unique species such as the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, and the long-necked gerenuk. With sweeping views, vibrant culture, and superb game viewing, Samburu offers a thrilling contrast to the southern plains. The journey then continues to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a pioneering sanctuary renowned for its conservation efforts and home to an impressive diversity of wildlife. Optional activities, including lion tracking or guided bush walks, allow for an even deeper connection with this remarkable region.
From Ol Pejeta, the scenery shifts as you travel into the Great Rift Valley, pausing at the lush Thompson Falls before arriving on the peaceful shores of Lake Naivasha. Here, the tranquillity of the lake and surrounding landscapes provides a refreshing break before you venture to the world-famous Maasai Mara. Over several unforgettable days, you explore one of the most celebrated wildlife destinations on Earth, where vast herds, apex predators, and sweeping savannahs create a safari experience like no other. Optional hot air balloon safaris offer a breathtaking view of dawn breaking over the plains.
Your journey concludes with a final sunrise game drive in the Mara before returning to Nairobi for your onward departure—closing an exceptional safari through two of Africa’s most iconic wildlife regions.
