This dynamic East African odyssey weaves a tapestry of vivid cultures, awe-inspiring landscapes, and splendid vistas rife with wildlife, offering a deeply immersive adventure from the misty breeze of Victoria Falls to the shores of the Indian Ocean.
Beginning with a view of the Zambian side of Victoria Falls, we set off on a road that stretches through lively villages, extensive farmland, and markets bursting with color. A stop at Luangwa Market reveals local treasures, beautifully ripely picked fruit, woven baskets, and handcrafted curios that reflect the creative and cultural spirit of Zambia.
Further east, South Luangwa National Park, one of Africa’s premier wildlife havens, welcomes you. Visit Mulberry Mongoose, where artisans craft stunning jewellery from natural materials found from the African bush. Stepping aboard a sunset safari, we navigate the savannah of the park to a sundowner stop, the drive back in the evening offering rare sightings of nocturnal animals. There are several optional safaris to be had if you desire more time in the thicket.
Crossing into Malawi, the gleaming expanse of Lake Malawi unfolds, one of the world’s most biodiverse freshwater lakes. De-compress upon the lake’s banks or hike to the enthralling Dwanbazi Waterfall with a local guide for a swim in its pools. Further north, you’ll connect rural life and culture during a guided village walk.
Tanzania beckons with cool highland air and sprawling vistas. Discover Tanzanian coffee and its processing at a coffee plantation, leaving an aroma of fresh beans as we continue into the Great Rift Valley. Arriving at Mikumi National Park, you’ll witness the massive baobab trees that cast a surreal beauty across the canopies. Mikumi offers a variety of activities and our time here encourages you to seek out wildlife and cultural tours as you see fit.
Your journey ends along Tanzania’s coastline in Dar es Salaam or historic Bagamoyo, where the scent of the sea and the warmth of shared memories mark the close of this trip across three magnificent countries.

If you would like to help Nomad making Africa Greener, simply choose the tick box during your booking process (or contact us afterwards to add it) and we will take care of the rest.
