Roam the untamed and cultural hearts of Zambia, Malawi and Tanzania, where each stop brings a new delight and steeps you into a tableau of Africa.
Your saunter begins in the bustling coastal city of Dar es Salaam, where you’ll connect with your crew and set onward to Mikumi National Park, a gem of a region with many activities to choose from. This expansive reserve, part of the greater Selous ecosystem, offers unrestrained beauty and abundant wildlife encounters away from the crowds. Continuing to Iringa, perched on a cliff above the Ruaha River Valley, we pause in the fascinating and unusual landscape of Baobab Valley.
The journey winds through the highlands of Mbeya where a visit to a local coffee plantation offers insight into bean cultivation and a taste of Tanzania’s finest brew. Skipping over the border into Malawi, we aim to luxuriate upon the shores of its lake, a sparkling freshwater paradise. Here, snorkelling reveals an extensive variety of tropical cichlid fish and quiet moments by the lake. We explore both the northern and southern shores of the lake, where the warm Malawian hospitality ensures a cherished stay.
Turning from Malawi’s azure water, we are whisked away to Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park, coated in a palette of deep greens and gold. Known for its world-class wildlife experiences and stunning birdlife, our day is filled with the promise of animal encounters on a sunset safari, with optional morning safari or seasonal walking tour offered for further exploration of this beautiful area.
In Petauke, browse locally made jewellery and crafts at Mulberry Mongoose before heading to Lusaka through rural Zambia. Stop at Luangwa Market to uncover the region’s fruits and handmade curios. Finally, we reach the thrilling town of Livingstone, home to one of the largest waterfalls in the world, Victoria Falls. Between exploring the falls themselves or taking on the thrill of bungee jumping or river rafting, the town is a hub of things to do and see, bringing our tour to a memorable end.

Nomad has a non-profit Trust that looks after the people, animals and places that we visit. We realise that a footprint is left where we travel and for this reason, the Nomad Africa Trust was established. Your donation to the Trust is called a “Green Seat”. If you would like to help Nomad making Africa Greener, simply choose the tick box during your booking process (or contact us afterwards to add it) and we will take care of the rest. The Nomad African Trust is responsible for the administration of the funds collected from the sale of the green seats and these funds are distributed to various projects as identified by the Trust.
