Embark on a journey through the emerald veins of the Kavango-Zambezi Conservation Area and golden grasslands of Tanzania. Beginning at Victoria Falls, where the Zambezi delves into mist from its plunge, follow its winding path into Namibia’s Zambezi Region, a cradle of untamed life.
As the sun melts into the horizon, drift by boat past crocodiles and hippos bathed in molten light. In Divundu, the Okavango murmurs beneath your feet on a morning cruise to Popa Falls, its rapids dancing like scattered jewels. Mahangu National Park beckons with tangled thickets and the wild chorus of one of Namibia’s most biodiverse sanctuaries.
The Okavango Delta’s fringes unfold across the horizon with mirror-like channels, whispering reeds and birdsong. An excursion to Tsodilo Hills reveals its sacred past and ancient rock art etched into quartzite towers.
Khwai Conservation Area takes you into the heart of the lily-choked waters by mokoro, followed by a full day safari in Moremi’s golden plains. At Elephant Sands, giants sip at your doorstep. Embarking on a Chobe River boat cruise, we observe animals all along its banks and channels before returning to the drum of Victoria Falls.
Rolling hills carry us from Lusaka to Petauke, pausing at Luangwa Market, a kaleidoscope of fruit, curios, and handmade treasures. South Luangwa National Park welcomes us into a savannah sanctuary, an area we travel by 4×4 safari and, optionally, on a walking safari. En route to Malawi, we visit Mulberry Mongoose, where poaching snares become striking jewelry.
Setting aside a few days to unwind beside Lake Malawi’s cobalt mirror, home to a kaleidoscope of fish, fill your time with hikes, snorkeling or respite. Soon, Tanzania greets us with baobab giants in Mikumi National Park and a tour of the aromatic process of coffee production. You’ll head onward to Zanzibar, an island refuge perfect for beach-side bliss. Explore the spice-scented labyrinth of Stone Town, dive into the azure water for ocean activities, or merely unwind at your own pace.
Further north, you’ll travel to the jewels of Tanzania’s wildlife, the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti. Explore the emerald basin of the caldera’s plains for a full day before taking to the open grasslands where a dense concentration of animals ensures encounters in the orange haze of the horizon.
