On our classic tours, clients can choose between two accommodation options. The explorer (camping) option includes a dome tent (2.4×2.4m) and a 5cm-thick mattress. You’ll need to bring your own sleeping bag. Alternatively, the classic (accommodated) option offers more comfort with a variety of permanent tents, guesthouses, lodges, and hotels available.

Start with the crescendo of nature’s raw power at Victoria Falls, locally revered as “Mosi-oa Tunya” or “the Smoke that Thunders,” one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. As the roaring Zambezi River plunges into the Batoka Gorge, the air saturates with a mist and the din of cascading water. Whether you chase thrills with optional activities such as a daring bungee jump or opt for serene walks along the rainforest trails, Victoria Falls is a memorable gateway to begin our tour.

Crossing into Botswana, we descend into the verdant riverbanks of Kasane and the Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA) – an incredible cross-border conservation effort spearheading the protection of five countries’ wildlife havens reliant on the Kavango and Zambezi rivers. The lifeblood of this region, the Chobe River, invites us on an afternoon cruise to liaise with grunting hippos from the shallows, herds of elephants wading across the river’s edge, and birdlife chirping and singing from overhanging branches.

From the waterways of Chobe, we travel south past the salt flats of the Makgadikgadi Pans and onward to the Moremi Game Reserve and the Khwai Conservation Area. Trading our solid truck for a rugged 4×4 safari vehicle, we plunge into the wilds of Moremi’s thickets for a full day safari, looking to spot the many species hunkering in acacia woodland and grasses. Awaiting us the next day is an outing like no other. Climbing into traditional dugout canoes called mokoro, we take to the Okavango Delta’s waterways within Khwai, breathing in the natural splendor around us as our local guides navigate through the reeds.

Bidding goodbye to Khwai, we head towards Maun and Namibia’s border. Those craving a panoramic perspective may take an optional flight above the mosaic of channels and floodplains as we cross. Arriving in Divundu, the Kavango River offers a haven of tranquil encounters with birds and elephants on a boat cruise.

Our venture delivers us to Etosha National Park, where great white salt pans stretch to the horizon and wildlife roams the baked earth for watering holes. A morning drive through the park upon our truck brings us to the final leg of our trip. Stepping onto a shuttle, you are transported to Namibia’s desert encompassed capital, Windhoek, where we finish our ten day expedition with echoes of the marvels and memories made along the way.
