Get ready to immerse yourself in the exhilarating spirit of adventure as we launch our journey in Swakopmund, Namibia’s epicenter of thrill-seeking. This coastal haven is a playground for those daring enough to embrace quad biking, sand boarding, or skydiving. If, however, the charm of exploration tickles your fancy, take leisurely strolls through the architectural marvels and quaint boutiques, or embark on a breathtaking aerial tour of the town. We recommend you to land here a day or two ahead of the tour’s commencement to fully savour these experiences, as our voyage sails off from Swakopmund on day one. From Swakopmund, we follow the coast to our morning destination, the captivating Brandberg Mountains, a marvel where the scorching desert grains meets a rocky, rugged mountain range, littered with Rock Engravings. Subsequently, we will plunge into a wildlife spotting venture in the famed Etosha National Park. Our adventure then leads us to the iconic Etosha National Park, where we’re embraced by the sheer magic of the wilderness. The park’s campsites nestle on the brink of waterholes, creating tranquil evenings spent in the comforting glow of the setting sun, with the symphony of thirsty animals making their way to the waterhole. We’ll navigate through Etosha’s terrain on a full-day exploration in our Nomad truck, grazing the edges of the Etosha Pan, in search of the bountiful wildlife that the park safeguards. From Etosha, we enter the Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA), which is a remarkable cross-border conservation initiative, merging the territories of five African nations, and overnight on the Kavango River before we steer towards the Botswana border, dedicating our upcoming days to discovering the aquatic labyrinth of the Okavango Delta, trailing through the Khwai Conservation Area, undertaking a full-day game drive in the Moremi Game Reserve, and unwinding with a soothing boat cruise on the Chobe River at sunset. After 12 days filled with diverse landscapes and thrilling encounters, our odyssey culminates at the majestic Victoria Falls, leaving us with a tapestry of indelible memories and the taste of Africa’s enchanting wilderness etched in our hearts.

Nomad has a non-profit Trust that looks after the people, animals and places that we visit. We realise that a footprint is left where we travel and for this reason, the Nomad Africa Trust was established. Your donation to the Trust is called a “Green Seat”. If you would like to help Nomad making Africa Greener, simply choose the tick box during your booking process (or contact us afterwards to add it) and we will take care of the rest. The Nomad African Trust is responsible for the administration of the funds collected from the sale of the green seats and these funds are distributed to various projects as identified by the Trust.
