Capable of traversing rugged terrain
Set your sights skywards and prepare for a transcendent week-long journey into the heart of Namibia’s extraordinary landscapes – an unmissable inclusion on every avid traveller’s itinerary. Begin your adventure in the magnetic charm of Cape Town, a city loved worldwide, then journey towards the mystical Fish River Canyon and the timeless Namib Desert. Witness the interplay of diversity and nature, an array of marvels that remain ever enchanting.
Our journey leads us to the Orange River, a pulsating lifeline given its traditional name, Gariep, a humble tribute to its significance in the indigenous KhoeKhoe language, meaning “river”. Submerge yourself in its rich history as you paddle through the rhythmic waters, a name echoing the memory of the Dutch Royal House.
We greet the early dawn at the Fish River Canyon, the rising sun playing its light symphony against the rugged canyon walls. We then retreat to the hinterlands, meandering through the whimsical Quiver Tree Forest, a perfect setting for a serene walk. Venture along the long, winding roads through scarcely inhabited farmlands, a testament to Namibia’s grand rural expanses.
Our journey unveils the awe-inspiring diversity of Southern Namibia, from the whispering grasslands in the east to the mesmerising red dunes in the west. The ever-transforming panorama is a living canvas of this enthralling desert country.
Ready yourself for a day of discovery as we traverse the captivating Namib-Naukluft National Park, from the dizzying heights of Dune 45, accessible to the adventurous souls, to the hidden depths of Sesriem Canyon. A 4×4 shuttle will ferry us to the hauntingly beautiful heart of Deadvlei and Sossusvlei pans. When twilight descends, rid yourself of the day’s red sands and surrender to the tranquil silence under the resplendent desert stars.
Our journey stretches further westward, finally reaching the coastal haven of Swakopmund, where adrenaline-fueled adventure merges with familiar comforts. The tantalising aroma of local coffee shops and bakeries waft through the air, offering irresistible German-inspired delights.
All that’s left is for you to confirm your spot on our awe-inspiring Namibia safari. Embark on a holiday that will etch memories of a lifetime. Unearth the secrets of Namibia, a land beautifully adorned by the hands of time.

If you would like to help Nomad making Africa Greener, simply choose the tick box during your booking process (or contact us afterwards to add it) and we will take care of the rest. The Nomad African Trust is responsible for the administration of the funds collected from the sale of the green seats and these funds are distributed to various projects as identified by the Trust.
