Travelling in Meat Loaf, our 20 seater camp truck, we experienced the amazing sights of Table Mountain in Cape Town, then travelled up the South African and Namibian coasts marvelling at the stunning scenery, unbelievable sun rises and sun sets. Through the desert and into northern Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe where the scenery changed and the animals emerged. Lions, elephants, buffalo's and Hippo's in abundance and we got so close to them all. The giraffes were majestic and the warthog and wild dogs were a sight to see. This was made even better with our driver Vincent, who made challenging roads, after some very bad weather, manageable with his expertise, and his stories smiles and laughter around the camp site. Then there was Tracy, our tour guide, who is an absolutely incredible person, cook and care taker. Meals prepared on a 3 burner stove rivalled some of the best restraint meal's I've eaten. Her care and attention to every detail was fantastic and the tour would not have been the success it was without her. Tracy worked tirelessly from before we woke until well after we were fast asleep ensuring all our needs were cared for. In short, I would recommend this tour to young and old who are in for some tough days but amazing destinations where sunrise is a sight to behold and sunset is just as wonderful the scenery is incredible and the wildlife life changing. Nomad, you have done well.

Recently completed a 16 day tour of Namibia with Nomad Safaris. Our guide David C was absolutely fantastic. In our group there were vegans, veggies, red & white meat eaters and he catered for us all fabulously. Nothing was too much trouble and he went out of his way to ensure everyone had what they needed. Incredible experience! We did the 29 day Tour from Nairobi to Johannesburg and then added on Kruger 4 day tour at the end!We had Boyd and Godfrey for the majority of our tour. They were both incredible, fun, knowledgeable, professional and created a fantastic experience! We had Norman and Fadz for the second half of our tour who were also great. Nomad we WILL be coming back!

I went on the Desert Explorer trip to Namibia in December 2021. One of the best trips of my life! Before going on this trip, I did not know about Nomad Tours; my travel agent recommended them and said her clients love their tours. Everything was excellent: the food, the accommodation, the truck, but most importantly: the tour guides! Mama G, Tings and Tich made this trip so memorable. Mama Gertie made Namibia come alive. She is a storyteller of note. The breadth and depth of her knowledge astounded me. History, geology, fauna and flora and current state of affairs were shared so engagingly that I forgot I was learning.
